Every since HRHBI (His Royal Highness Barack I) assumed the presidency over a year ago, there has been much talk about those on the right wanting him to fail. Well, perhaps they do, but they aren’t alone, those of us who are libertarians who view this man as a supreme threat to individual liberty also yearn for his failure and ultimate defeat. Is it wrong to want a president to fail…perhaps if you are someone who believes politicians should be followed blindly regardless of the merits of their arguments. This position is in error. It is wrong to blindly love any man or any country.
This nation is uniquely equipped to be a champion for liberty and freedom in the world, a shining example of representative government and maximum liberty, but given the awesome power and influence of this nation, it must be recognized that this nation could also be an instrument for the destruction of the very liberties we hold dear and if such a course should be undertaken then championing failure is the true patriotic course of action.
Just as it would have right to wish for Brezhnev’s failure in the Soviet Union or Marcos’ failure in the Philippines or Sese Seko’ failure in Zaire and Mussolini’s failure in Italy we must also hope and pray that Obama’s designs for this nation are equally a failure and the hopes and dreams of generations yet to come may depend upon it.
