Jimmy Carter has never had the reputation for being an effective or efficient leader, not as governor, and certainly not as president. But Carter always seemed to be a man of honor and dignity, or so it would seem. While one could abhor his policies one could respect the individual and his presumed commitment to causes near and dear to his heart. In recent years, especially during the presidency of George W Bush that reputation became tarnished and certain Carter prognostications revealed a far more troubling side to the 39th president.
That revelation has become more apparent this week as Carter has revealed his feelings on the matter of President Obama and a growing chorus of opposition to his policies. Apparently there is only one reason why individuals, such as myself, oppose the president. We are racists. Yes, thats it. It has nothing to do with genuine philosophical differences as we had with Clinton, Gore or Kerry. No in this case its racisim. If you are opposed to cedeing a large proportion of you inidividual liberty to the state then you must be a bigpot. Sure a man such as Carter, couldn’t have uttered such drivel, but alas, he most certainly did.
This latest revelation reveals the most inhereent flaw in the mind of the leftists, a flaw apparently shared by the Nobel Laurette as well. The assumption that no one in their right mind could stand in legitimate oppossition to the leftist cause and thus anyone making such claims must be motivated by more sinister influences. But what of thise who are also persons of color? Why we are simply brainwashed as Janeane Garofalo after all, as people like Garofalo pointed out we of color lack the ability to speak or think for ourselves and thus if we oppose the great Obama, we must be suffering from some sort of mind control. Apparently Carter shares this sentiment.
