Since the 2000, the leftist have adopted a new strategy in their ongoing quest to regain power and influence in Washington. The leftist strategy is de-legitimization. The left tirelessly paints the success of others and their own electoral failures as the byproduct of chicanery.
Six years ago, Al Gore lost the electoral vote in Florida, by every measure Gore lost, yet Gore has preached from every corner of the globe how George Bush and the GOP “stole” the 2000 election. As a result, many Americans have come to view George Bush as illegitimate, lending credence to the Democratic cause, granted most of those who accept these views represent the lowest common denominator within American society.
Now John Kerry continues this de-legitimization strategy. Kerry claims the GOP stole the 2004 election in an effort to portray himself as the legitimate president, if this were indeed true, one has to wonder why Kerry was so quick to concede after his electoral defeat. Kerry and the Dems are now working hard to defeat the GOP candidate for governor, who was secretary of state during the 2004 election.
According to an email from John Kerry, “he used the power of his state office to try to intimidate Ohioans and suppress the Democratic vote.” Naturally, Kerry offers no proof or examples of how this incredible feat was achieved but then again given the target audience of Kerry’s latest diatribe, why bother with facts?
Kerry and his fellow leftists have worked feverishly to exploit the fundamental ignorance of their constituency, using their typical demagogue tactics. As sure as we live and breathe, this strategy will serve them well.
